PRO-LIFE CROSS DISPLAY RETURNING NEXT WEEKEND!
As Catholics, we believe that human life is sacred from the moment of conception until the moment of natural death. And, as the unborn are unable to defend themselves, they are the most vulnerable members of our society and we have an obligation to protect them. Please consider joining us in our effort to protect life in all its stages.
VOLUNTEER TO SET UP
We will be setting up the crosses on Saturday, October 1 at 9am, and we are in need of more help! If you and/or your families are able to help us, please contact Dave Felice at djfelice@yahoo.com. Many hands make light work!
TALK WITH YOUR CHILDREN
The sight of thousands of crosses can be very confusing for children, and many are too young to hear about the specifics of abortion. However, they are never too young to be taught about the precious gift of life! Please talk with them about how God knew them and loved them since before they were born, while they were still in their mother’s belly. Talk with them about how God has a plan for every person He creates, a plan that will make this world a better place. Talk with them about how these crosses remind us of those babies who died before they were given a chance to live out God’s plan for them. This is a wonderful opportunity to talk about the amazing gift of life and God’s love for all of us!
PRAY
Please pray to rebuild a culture of life in our world! Pray for the unborn, for mothers, for fathers, for families, for an end to poverty, for an end to abuse, for an end to abortion and euthanasia, for our leaders, for our lawmakers, for a conversion of hearts. This world needs prayers!
LEARN MORE
Visitation Parish has subscribed to an online platform called “Formed.” Please take advantage of this gift! There are countless talks and videos about why Catholics believe what we do about abortion (as well of many other topics!). If you have questions, this is a great resource for answers. Just go to the link: https://formed.org. Click “Sign Up” and then click “Sign up as a parishioner” then find our parish via name or zip code. Enter your name and email address and you’re done!
The Visitation Right-to-Life Ministry's mission is to foster an awareness of the dignity and sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. We work on behalf of defenseless or vulnerable human beings, born and unborn. We commit ourselves to prayer, education, pastoral care and action in defense of life in our parish community, our city, state and country. We believe that all life is sacred and every person is precious and made in the image of God.
Please join us each Saturday from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. as we pray the Rosary at Access Health Center, 1700 75th St, Downers Grove, IL 60516. Access is a clinic where abortions are provided regularly. We will pray for the conversion of doctors, clinic workers and mothers, as well as for the souls of the babies lost to abortion. Contact Paul Esposito at espo382@comcast.net for more information.
